How to Change Your Network Password
Account passwords are required to be changed every 120 days and meet the following minimum requirements:
- Be at least six characters in length
- Contain characters from three of the following four categories:
- English uppercase characters (A through Z)
- English lowercase characters (a through z)
- Base 10 digits (0 through 9)
- Non-alphabetic characters (for example: !, $, #, %)
- Not contain the user's account name or parts of the user's full name that exceed two consecutive characters
- Not be one of the previous six passwords used
To change your password while using an AET computer at the office or via VPN:
- If you are working remotely, connect to the VPN.
- Press CTRL + ALT + DEL.
- Select 'Change Password'.
- Enter your old password, then enter a new password twice.
- Click 'Change Password'.
To change your password without access to VPN or the corporate network (for those without company computers):
- Go to the Microsoft password reset website (https://passwordreset.microsoftonline.com/).
- On this screen, enter your full email into the User ID field.
- The system will ask you to verify your account using either a mobile phone or email address previous set by you.
- Once account verification is complete, you will be able to reset your password.
